Create an internal SharePoint Intranet site that acts as a landing space for all employee information

The HR department reached out to me with the idea of creating an internal hub that is designed for employees to use as a landing space for all information such as benefits, payroll, new hires, learning and development, team management, marketing and branding.

To create this request for all employees, I utilized Microsoft's SharePoint Intranet to create this all around internal hub. I began by hosting meetings with HR and the leadership team to listen to what they wanted and created a wireframe of the intranet. I hosted many meetings after that so the team could review the design, give feedback, and make any edits.

Once the wireframe design was finalized, I began working on the build out. To do this I used Microsoft's SharePoint Intranet. I created each of the pages and built out the general format including the hero section, title section, quick links, and image placement so that it would be easy for the departments to edit and upkeep later on. I also created a general document and media folder so that it will be easy to find, update and remove documents published on the intranet. The next step was to build out the navigation menu. I added in each page to the navigation menu and when necessary, made sub-menus.

After reviewing the intranet with the team, I created a bunch of how-to training documentation for each department to be able to update and maintain their intranet pages.
